Yo Sylvester

I was never a big Rocky fan as a kid. I mean I liked the movies, but I never bought them or was like, "Dude...Rocky...Yeah!" And ultimately, me being a child, I thought Rocky IV was the best of the five. You know Drago V Rocky, Cold War implications, The rise of Dolph Lundren, Apollo dying, working out in the freaking snow with poop equipment, yeah those were the times.

However, looking back I never truly appreciated Rocky I and understood that the subsequent sequels were really just Hollywood trying to make a buck.

That being said, I present you Rocky Balboa, The perfect bookend to the original Rocky. I was VERY VERY VERY hesitant to see it. Just because I was like, come Sly, another Rocky @ 60 years old? Box office bust my amigo. It's like Rocky went from the Italian Stallion to the out of shape goomba, who will want to see this?

I was wrong my friends. I actually loved this movie. Sly wrote, produced and directed this sucker and you know what, Kudos to him. It closed up so many things for Rocky and left out the hollywood flash and story and brought Rocky back to his roots. The Philly slums, running a restaurant, helping people less fortunate than him. He's got stuff in the basement and needs to get the beast out.

4/5 Stars for me, really pumped you up and pulled on the heart strings. Becky dug it as well.

Check it out the 2 time heavey weight champion of the world one last time.
